The Family Welfare Centre is conveniently situated close to the centre of Leigh: it's on the 1st floor of the Adult Learning Centre.

There is plenty of parking with several disabled parking spaces. Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes before your meeting. You will need to go to reception and tell them you’re there for a u3a meeting.

IMPORTANT! An ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) system has now been installed in the car park. However, u3a members will still be able to park there for free but do have to register their car registration number. So you MUST put your car registration into the parking keypad outside of the UPSTAIRS office no matter how long you are staying for, NOT the keypad near the downstairs front entrance. Some of our members have already used the system, without any problems.  

WARNING: failure to enter your vehicle registration will result in a parking fine.

ALSO, anyone dropping off/picking up then they have 10 minutes parking allowance. Otherwise they will also incur a parking fine.

You may want to wait in the cafe on the 1st floor (there’s a lift if required) until your room is available. Please note the cafe is closed but hot drinks are still available.
