Our Local History group meet on the 1st Monday of the month (except on a Bank Holiday). The normal venue for the meeting is at the Leigh Family Welfare Centre, but if this needs to be changed group members will be informed.
The next meeting of the Leigh & District u3a Local History Group is on Monday the 6th October 1-3pm, at the Leigh Family Welfare on Walmesley Road. There is no set topic for this meeting, group members can bring articles on any local subject that they think would be of interest to the group. Any questions regarding local history subjects, that the members may have knowledge off are welcomed. Please Note! There is now a fee paying camera now on this site. Anyone parking on site to come to the meeting must first sign in at the front entrance, then put their car registration details into a tablet mounted outside the first floor office for free parking. NOT the tablet at the front entrance or you will need to pay! Registering to park is your responsibility. Not registering your car will cost you an expensive parking penalty fine.
