Welcome to Leigh and District u3a - formed in 2013 and expanding all the time!
Our u3a is centred in Leigh, Lancashire (or Greater Manchester if you prefer) and includes Atherton, Tyldesley, Astley, Lowton, Golborne, Culcheth, Westhoughton and other areas. We provide Educational, Recreational and Leisure Activities for retired and semi-retired people or indeed anyone who is no longer in full time employment and we now have over 500 members. There are no age limits or obstacles to joining.
Membership of Leigh and District u3a costs £18 a year and there's a £1.00 charge for attendance at group functions - this covers venue hire. Most of our meetings are held at Leigh Miners Welfare Institute, Family Welfare Centre, Kingsleigh Methodist Church Community Centre or Holiday Inn Express. Please see our Membership page for more details.
